Weight Journal — terms of use

These terms apply to Weight Journal — the Android and iOS apps and the web app at weight-journal.nextim.app — operated by NEXTIM LABS SRL, Tax ID (CUI): 55575324, Trade register: J2026054077007, București, România ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
1. What Weight Journal is — and is not
Weight Journal is a personal tool for recording your weight, body measurements and progress photos. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Figures such as BMI, trends and target estimates are for information only. Talk to a doctor before making decisions about your health, diet or medication.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app (see Delete your account).
3. Free plan and lifetime access
- The free plan includes one profile and the last 30 days of history.
- Lifetime access is a one-time purchase that unlocks the premium features for your account for as long as we offer the service, including premium features we add later. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store, under their terms. The price, including VAT, is shown in the store before you pay. Refund requests go through the store you bought from.
- Lifetime access is digital content supplied immediately. If you live in the EU, by confirming the purchase you ask for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day right of withdrawal, as permitted by consumer law. Your other rights as a consumer are not affected.
4. Your content
Everything you enter — entries, measurements, photos, notes — remains yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.
5. Fair use
Do not try to access other people's accounts, disrupt or overload the service, reverse-engineer it to bypass payment or security, or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to upload. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Weight Journal available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may improve and change features. If we ever decide to shut the service down, we will tell you at least 90 days in advance and give you a way to export your data.
7. Liability
We provide the service with care, but to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect damage or for decisions you make based on the figures in the app. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, or the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country.
